Woodland Primary School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 48 Strider AKB-Specific Bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, two Strider 20 Bikes for teacher instruction, and curriculum.

PE Teachers, Chris Mistrata and Ian Kupfer, are excited to see kids rolling in the classroom soon. Chris says: This program will have an extremely strong impact on all of the students that attend our PE classes each day. We have a very diverse student population, many of whom don't own a bicycle and thus may have never ridden a bicycle. By adding an amazing program like All Kids Bike to our curriculum, we will be able to give the gift of "two wheeled confidence" to learners that may otherwise never get to experience the freedom and fun of a bicycle. For those students that are already proficient bicycle riders, we can add to their existing knowledge base in the form of general bicycle safety practices, rules of the road, and more advanced bicycle handling techniques. We are unique in the fact that we have a single building dedicated to Pre-K and Kindergarten in our district. All Kindergarteners attend PE 5 days per week, and our class sizes range from 34-48 students per period. By having a great program like All Kids Bike taking place in a school with such a large number of students, we will be able to put a TON of deserving Kindergarteners on two wheels each year!"

All Kids Bike® is a national movement led by the Strider® Education Foundation, Inc. to place Kindergarten PE Learn-To-Ride Programs into public schools for free, using donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations. All Kids Bike is on a mission to teach every child in America how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE class.
