Trowbridge Street School of Great Lakes Water Studies is seeking support for a fleet of 30 bikes, helmets, kickstands and curriculum.
Trowbridge School of Great Lakes Water Studies looks forward to partnering with All Kids Bike to provide our kindergarten students with the opportunity to learn to bike ride and improve their overall health. Trowbridge school servers 235 students of which over a 70% of these students are economically disadvantaged and 28.1% are students with disabilities. The objective of the All Kids Bike program is to be able to provide our students with the opportunity to join a community of being healthy through bike riding. Our mission over past years is to support our students’ mental health. We have been implementing mindfulness, brain breaks, extra recess and additional activities that promote healthy living. We have seen measurable success and we continually seek to expand our mission. All Kids Bike would be a huge addition to our program’s goal of increasing our students’ wellbeing by allowing them to sharpen their minds, elevate their academic performance and boost their self-confidence. It would provide our students with a chance to shine in a different light. We appreciate All Kids Bike taking an interest in helping our students develop their healthy habits. - Celene Mueller, School Support Teacher
