Touchstone Community School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific Bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, one Strider 20 Bike for teacher instruction, and curriculum.
Afterschool Director, CJ Williams, is excited to see kids rolling in the classroom soon. CJsays:"We are excited about this program as the potential to help our students develop many skills, from motor to self-confidence, and bike safety. It will help us teach the students a fun way to get out and be active. Many of our younger students have yet to learn how to ride bikes. Our school program has the flexibility to incorporate this kind of curriculum. We hope to use these bikes, not only in Physical Education class, but also in our after school program. These bikes will also be used during our summer camp that many students attend to promote healthy habits. Furthermore, we hope to create family bike days and classes."
