Tehama County Dept. of Education's Safe Education and Recreation for Rural Families Program is seeking funding for a fleet of 20 bikes, helmets, kickstands and curriculum.

The SERRF (Safe Education and Recreation for Rural Families) Expanded Learning Program, in conjunction with Tehama County Department of Education, is requesting 20 children’s bike(s) starter kits to start a “Strider” Kindergarten Fitness Club. This will kick-off our 2019-2020 theme "Celebrating our Educational Journey" for 236 Kindergarten students in Tehama County. SERRF/TCDE activities include but are not limited to the following:
- Academic: Homework Support and Tutoring
- Enrichment/Recreation Clubs: cooking; drama, science, young writers, wood carving,
soccer, art, Spanish, Leadership Club and much more
- Community Events: Lights On! After School and SERRF Highlights Show
- Quarterly School/Family Events: Family Game Nights, Family Soup Nights, Family Craft Nights,
Family Carnivals, Cinco de Mayo Presentations, Art Nights, Health & Wellness Presentations
and more.
- FAST Program: Eight week parent training and family support programs
- Field Trips: Shasta Caverns, Chico Creek Nature Center, Bidwell Park, Sacramento River Discovery Center, Gaumers, Lariat Bowl, McGlynn Pool, Coleman Fish Hatchery, Tehama District Fair, Schreder Planetarium, Turtle Bay, and Red Bluff Airport... to name a few

All Kids Bike® is a national movement led by the Strider® Education Foundation to place Kindergarten PE Learn-To-Ride Programs into public schools for free, using donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations. All Kids Bike is on a mission to teach every child in America how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE class.
