Sisseton, SD
Sisseton School District is seeking support for a fleet of 25 bikes, helmets, kickstands, and curriculum.

We fully believe that physical activity is an integral part of childhood development and provides and outlet for both physical and mental health development. The district strives to ensure all elementary students have access to play time each day, and multiple physical education classes each week. The integration of the Strider Bikes would blend well into our Kindergarten PE coursework, as this grade level is the first introduction to structured physical activity.
The Strider Bike Learn to Ride program would serve approximately 100 students in Kindergarten each year. This will empower our youngest students to learn a lifelong, independent physical activity, that will benefit them for many years to come. Thank you for your consideration of this application from the Sisseton School District on behalf of Westside Elementary. -- Dr. Tammy Meyer, Superintendent, Sisseton School District

All Kids Bike® is a national movement led by the Strider® Education Foundation to place Kindergarten PE Learn-To-Ride Programs into public schools for free, using donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations. All Kids Bike is on a mission to teach every child in America how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE class.
