Roosevelt Charter Academy is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 30 Strider AKB-Specific Bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, one Strider 20 Bike for teacher instruction, and curriculum.
PE Teacher, Sharis Gish, is excited to get her kids rolling in the classroom soon. Sharis says, "To be part of this program would allow us to teach approximately 100-200 students how to ride a bike and do so safely. We are a Title 1 school full of amazing students that are a part of an incredible school community. We want to support this community by offering a program that will encourage fun family time exercising together on bikes in a city that has incredible riding opportunities."
RCA is a part of Kids on Bikes and the Bike Library program for our older students. The students have enjoyed the Bike Library; however, many students who want to be part of this after-school program have no bike riding skills. All Kids Bike will allow us to teach our younger students how to ride so they can eventually be a part of the Bike Library. We are looking forward to growing a program that inspires a lifelong recreational activity."
All Kids Bike® is a national movement led by the Strider® Education Foundation, Inc. to place Kindergarten PE Learn-To-Ride Programs into public schools for free, using donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations. All Kids Bike is on a mission to teach every child in America how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE class.
