Ladue School District in St. Louis, MO is seeking support for a fleet of 30 bikes, helmets, kickstands and curriculum for programs at Old Bonhomme Elementary and Reed Elementary Schools.
Old Bonhomme Elementary has a student body of 436 students, 74 of whom are Kindergartners, and 81 whom are in 1st grade. Reed Elementary’s student body numbers 396 with 73 in Kindergarten and 75 in 1st grade. Our students get to have P.E. class every day for 30 minutes with two P.E. teachers at each of our schools. We are envisioning the chance for our schools to share a fleet of 30 Strider bikes. We would incorporate the bikes into our Kindergarten programs and follow-up with them as first-graders. We also look forward to the instructor training and certification offered through the Strider Kindergarten program. - Connie Jander and Kim Plogger, PE Teachers
