Nelson Mandela Elementary School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific Bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, one Strider 20 Bike for teacher instruction, and curriculum.
Curriculum Specialist, Kwin Kunkle, is excited to see kids rolling in the classroom soon. Kwin says:"Nelson Mandela Elementary is a private, tuition-free K-5 elementary school located in North Omaha. At Mandela, scholars experience a rigorous and advanced curriculum, year-round school, frequent recesses, restorative practices in the classroom, and data-driven interventions. Scholars participate in many enrichment activities throughout the school year and the bike program will be implemented during our summer term. Many scholars would not otherwise have the opportunity to learn to ride a bike."
All Kids Bike® is a national movement led by the Strider® Education Foundation, Inc. to place Kindergarten PE Learn-To-Ride Programs into public schools for free, using donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations. All Kids Bike is on a mission to teach every child in America how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE class.
