No one understands the value of riding a bicycle more than Josh Hayes and Melissa Paris. They both grew up riding bikes and as they got into motorcycle racing, discovered cycling to be the perfect way to train for racing. Now that they share a son, Hawk, they are happy to share their passion for two wheels as a family.
After learning the startling statistics about the declining rates of children learning to ride bikes, the Hayes family wanted to get involved!
This year, Josh Hayes will compete in the Daytona 200 with wife Melissa serving as his crew chief. While the number one goal is always to end up on top of the podium, they've decided to use this race as an opportunity to raise funds for the All Kids Bike initiative. Their fundraising goal of $4,000 will fully fund one Oceanside elementary school's learn to ride program.
