Maryland Elementary School
Vista, CA
Maryland Elementary School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 25 Strider AKB-Specific Bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, one Strider 20 Bike for teacher instruction, and curriculum.

Kindergarten Teacher, Sydney Laubach, is excited to see kids rolling in the classroom soon. Sydney says: Maryland Elementary is a very special place to many people, teachers, support staff and students. School is a safe haven for our students, the place where they know they will find consistency, love and support. Our student’s home lives are chaotic and very unpredictable, Maryland is where they come to get away from the chaos.

95% of our students come from low socio-economic homes, with about 25% living in shelters and sober living homes. These families are not able to give their children the opportunity to learn to ride a bike let alone purchase them a bike. A donation of 25 bikes would change this and give our students an opportunity to learn to ride a bike, a skill many children and parents take for granted.

The teachers at Maryland give their all to our students however this is one ask that we are not able to afford as teachers. We give so much to our students and want to give them all the opportunities possible for them to have the experiences that every child deserves.
Thank you for you consideration of donating bikes to Maryland Elementary."
