Franklin Elementary School
Santa Barbara, CA
Franklin Elementary School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 26 Strider AKB-Specific Bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, one Strider 20 Bike for teacher instruction, and curriculum.

Principal, Casie Killgore , is excited to see kids rolling in the classroom soon. Cassie says: " We thrive to provide enrichment opportunities for students from an early age. We currently have a bike riding program but it is remedial at fourth grade for students (over 50%) who do not know how to ride a bike by age of 10. Many of our families have multiple jobs and live with multiple other families so our families live in compacted areas where bike riding is not safe and do not have the time during daylight to teach their child how to ride a bike.

We would love to bring bike riding during school to our youngest students. Our students are positive optimistic five year old's who will pick it up quickly and will have an amazing experience at school that many of them currently don’t have in their neighborhood. We have a dedicated play area with concrete as well as a PE teacher who can help lead students through the program. This will also allow us to open our playground during weekend times to help our neighborhood children learn how and practice riding regularly."

All Kids Bike® is a national movement led by the Strider® Education Foundation, Inc. to place Kindergarten PE Learn-To-Ride Programs into public schools for free, using donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations. All Kids Bike is on a mission to teach every child in America how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE class.
