Etowah Elementary School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 20 Strider AKB-Specific Bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, one Strider 20 Bike for teacher instruction, and curriculum.
PE Teacher, Beth Swanger, is excited to see kids rolling in the classroom soon. Beth says:" When teaching at a previous school, I taught a 4th grade bicycle rodeo which was extremely tough because many students had never ridden a bike and at that age, students are so much bigger. I loved teaching the bicycle rodeo, however I knew at my new school I wanted to teach cycling at a younger age. Learning to ride a bike will help my K students learn balance, coordination, self confidence, improve cardiovascular endurance but most importantly will learn a physically active skill that they can perform lifelong."
All Kids Bike® is a national movement led by the Strider® Education Foundation, Inc. to place Kindergarten PE Learn-To-Ride Programs into public schools for free, using donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations. All Kids Bike is on a mission to teach every child in America how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE class.
