Engleburg School is seeking support for a fleet of 25 bikes, helmets, kickstands and curriculum.
Engleburg Elementary School students are given the opportunity to become independent learners. Our staff works to engage all of the senses in learning. We base the content of classes on research. All pupils are provided with the tools that they need to prepare themselves for the 21st century. Our students in K5 through 3rd grade are in classrooms with one teacher for 18 students thanks to the Achievement Gap Reduction program! Learning to ride a bike is a critical skill for children. Children of all abilities gain physical strength, improved cardiovascular health, and a new ability to explore and interact with the world around them. Children with special needs, in particular, benefit from an increased range of motion and better trunk control--skills that can provide a better overall quality of life by making it easier for children to bathe, dress themselves, and participate in school and home activities. - Ann Terrll, MPS Foundation Director
All Kids Bike® is a national movement led by the Strider® Education Foundation to place Kindergarten PE Learn-To-Ride Programs into public schools for free, using donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations. All Kids Bike is on a mission to teach every child in America how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE class.
