Constitution Elementary School is seeking support for a fleet of 25 bikes, helmets, kickstands, and curriculum.
"We are so excited about the possibility of receiving bikes through your organization!
Our school, Constitution Elementary, is a Title One School which means that 90% of
our students are from low-income families. By granting our school this program, it
will give our kindergarten students the opportunity to learn how to ride a bike because
many of our students don’t own a bike at home. Riding a bike is a fun way for kids to
stay physically active outdoors and helps build students’ self-confidence as they
become better riders and gain control of their balance.
With these bikes, and being able to teach our students how to ride at a young age, it
will open a whole new world of possibilities as they get older. Students can set a goal
of owning a bike and realize more opportunities with their low cost mode of
transportation and healthy physical activity!" Cheyana Leiva - PE Teacher
