Cheremoya Elementary School

Los Angeles, CA
Cheremoya Elementary is seeking support for a fleet of 25 bikes, helmets, kickstands and curriculum.

Cheremoya Elementary School serves the Hollywood community. We have a diverse student body socioeconomically and racially. The program serves PK-6 grade and includes a special needs PK program. We have been participating in the EDI grant to further our knowledge of SE development and our skills to advance student achievement. We also explore the connection between SE learning with collaborative community teams that support overall child development. The All Kids Bike program would support our continued efforts to address health and well being and help students develop balance, mobility, safety, environmental awareness, exercise and confidence. All Kids Bike would add to our goal of making Cheremoya a place to shine for all students. -- Steve Salva, Principal

All Kids Bike® is a national movement led by the Strider® Education Foundation to place Kindergarten PE Learn-To-Ride Programs into public schools for free, using donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations. All Kids Bike is on a mission to teach every child in America how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE class.
