Charles E Boger Elementary School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific Bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, one Strider 20 Bike for teacher instruction, and curriculum.

"All Kids Bike is a national program that can make a positive impact in the lives of the students of Charles E. Boger Elementary School. The program is integrated into the kindergarten PE curriculum and focuses on building confidence, life-long skills, and promoting healthy choices all while having fun. The program allows students to learn from a certified person and use quality equipment that ensures the safety of all involved. All Kids Bike has a very high success rate and brings something new and exciting to the kindergarten PE curriculum. The more confident students are the more they are willing to participate in activities that allow them to grow both physically and emotionally. The administrative team is very excited about bringing All Kids Bike to Charles E. Boger School and the positive impact it will have on our current and future Boger Beacons." - Rick Seaford, Principal

PE Teacher, Jake Gray is excited to get kids rolling in his classroom soon. Mr. Gray says:  "Can you imagine the smiles on all the kindergarten faces upon walking into PE class and seeing all the bikes and helmets ready for use? My excitement continues to build in anticipation of being able to offer the All Kids Bike program to our students. Riding bikes was a huge part of my childhood. I can assure you between my passion for PE and the training from All Kids Bike, kindergarten PE classes will be unlike they have ever been. All Kids Bike will allow us to teach bike riding skills through carefully planned lessons that focus on safety, building confidence, and promoting healthy choices throughout life. The progression of the lessons allows for students to learn balance first and then pedaling. This approach has proven very successful and in fact is what helped my daughter learn years ago. Building confidence at a young age is very important and helps open more opportunities for students. With the help of our community, we can achieve our goal and ultimately make an unmeasurable impact on our current and future kindergarten students."

This is a collaborative effort with community member, and All Kids Bike National Ambassador, Trey Hinton. He is supporting these efforts, and believes in the power of two-wheels, stating: "I am a firm believer that when kids learn to ride a bike it stimulates their physical and mental abilities to the next level. It also creates a certain confidence in that achievement that will carry them through other learning moments. The goal of this program, that I am huge advocate of, is not only physical fitness and wellbeing, it’s about positive mental health and stimulating the overall growth and development in our children. I can testify to these bikes and the idea behind the balance bike concept since I have seen it first hand with both of my children."
